The dry top is shaped like a shark-fin and reduces catching of line, seaweed and floating material.

The design enables you to use fresh air snorkel by using your thumb to close off the top opening while exhausting through the large dump valve under the mouth piece and releasing to breathe in. By doing this you are able to dive sooner without rebreathing the used air in the snorkel.
