New version of the Lontra wetsuit made completely from exceptionally elastic and soft Ultraspan neoprene.
Lontra Man/Lady is the latest version of the previous former Lontra wetsuit, one of the most successful of the Cressi-sub suits. This suit, like its predecessor, is a modular suit for average and average-cold temperatures. In order to drastically reduce water infiltration, the all-in-one has been fitted with a highly advanced watertight Tizip rear zip; this is located vertically across the back and also has a large zip cover combined with an Aquastop system at the neck. Therefore very little water can seep in, although it is very easy to put the wetsuit on and take it off. A double seal complete with zip has been used to make the ankles watertight: 3 mm thick Ultraspan neoprene with zip on the outer, over a 2 mm thick Metallite seal, with inner lining made from Trispan, a particularly smooth material. A similar double seal with zip is also applied at the wrists in the 7 mm version only, while the 5 mm version has a double seal but no zip. Gloves and boots are sandwiched between two layers of neoprene, between the seal and the main garment, making it practically waterproof. The presence of the zip and the surprising elasticity of the materials used make it very easy and quick to put on and take off. The knee area is protected from wear and tear by the use of large inserts made from Strata, a resistant but also very elastic material.
