The Shark Shield SURF is a compact light-weight unit designed specifically to be mounted on most watercraft including surfboards, kayaks, canoes and windsurfers. It can be easily transferred between surfboards with the purchase of additional mounting plates. The Mounting Plate is attached using the self adhesive. A deck Grip Kick patch is supplied to cover the Mounting Plate and give you added grip.

The unit incorporates a flexible antenna that contains two stainless steel electrodes, it is these electrodes that emit the protective field once submerged.

The Surf antenna has been designed to cause minimum water resistance. The electronics unit fits over the leg rope attachment and hinges to allow for leg rope access.

The unique wave form elliptical field only effects free swimming sharks and to a minor degree rays and skates. It has no effect on other marine creatures. The field generated by the Shark Shield is detected by the shark through its sensory receptors known as Ampullae of Lorenzini, situated on the snout of all predatory sharks. The unique and unfamiliar pulsing sensation emitted by the Shark Shield does not replicate that given off by a fish and does not attract sharks. Shark Shield allows you to surf, kayak or perform your chosen activity with all other marine animals roaming freely in their ocean settings.
