The PADI Open Water certification gives you a license to dive anywhere in the world. It is a well structured course with a basic introduction into some dive theory, followed by pool sessions where you will learn the skills required in order to be able to dive safely in the open water environment. Upon the completion of this section you will be ready to experience the real thing where you will do 4 open water dives. Some basic water skills are required, you need to be able swim 200m in your own time and style and tread water for 10 minutes. Under Australian law a diving medical is also required before the commencement of the course. Enquire at the shop for the best Doctor available in your area.

There are two options for taking your Open Water Course with Deep:

Option 1 $459– do the course over two weekends with the first weekend being theory and pool training. The following weekend we head off to North Stradbroke Island where you will complete your 4 open water dives. The course includes accommodation Saturday night as well as Ferry fees to and from the Island and Sunday out on the dive boats.

Option 2 $359– Complete you course over 2 weekends (or 4 consecutive days) doing 4 shore dives @ the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads on the 2nd weekend of the course and you get to sleep in your own comfy bed Saturday night.
