Seeing action in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf, HMAS Brisbane served in the RAN till 2001. She now lies silent, waiting for those who are daring enough to explore the many treasures hidden away inside the ‘Steel Cat’.

Deep Scuba Centre runs regular trips to the ex-HMAS Brisbane, now located in her final resting place off Queensland's sunshine coast.

This amazing trip is the opportunity of a lifetime to see such a magnificent wreck before it is claimed by the sea. Everything on the ship is still clearly visible, from the guns on the upper decks to the internal workings of the engine room. Such a superb job was done making this wreck one of the safest yet with doorways, hatches and compartments being made much larger, minimising the risk of snag and disorientation.

The wreck has something to offer every level of diver. The main deck sits between 15 - 20m, making it, with the superstructure above and amazing array of fish life, perfect for the Open Water diver, while the many penetration points and deeper areas around the bowels of the ship will make sure even the most advanced divers will have a trip they won't soon forget!
